Asuego

Asuego- who was raised with and is teamed up with Pip in the force, creating both a buddy cop and sibling dynamic with each other, is both the best and worse being Pip could be paired up with.

Asuego “sees” using a form of echolocation, so they are able to see pip signing and communicate to each other as easily as two normal speakers can. Pip and Asuego's team-up in the force aids both of them - Asuego translates Pip’s signing while Pip reads for Asuego.

No one knows Asuego is. Not even Asuego. No one has ever seen their species before. Is this ever a plot element in the story? Nope.

Asuego is quite possibly the galaxy’s worse cop. They are smart-mouthed, quick-witted, disregard rules/regulations, and take their position as a cop to their advantage (perhaps Asuego does so on purpose).
